And, the Girls outnumber the Boys 3:2

For another month or so the girls in our household will outnumber the boys;) You ask, "Well, how can this be?" Truffles and I picked up another furry little female friend and her name is Rue.

We actually got her back in September and I have failed to write about it until now. We got her when she was only about 3 weeks old. So, the girls have enjoyed having the run of the roost for awhile now, until little Peanut shows up.

When we went to pick her up she was so tiny and while we were driving home she keep jumping all around. I was trying to decide what to name her and at one point she jumped all the way out of the box and onto my shirt. It scared me and I had to catch her before she started running all around the car. We thought she was like a kangaroo, so we decided to call her roo. But instead of spelling it that way we decided on Rue. And, yes for those of you who have read the Hunger Games series we chose the spelling from one of the girl characters in that series.

Anyway, Truffles wasn't sure what she thought of her for awhile but after a few weeks they were safely living together under the same roof! And, for the record Rue still jumps around all the time, it really is the funniest thing. Owen loves to watch her and point her out and laugh. He calls the Guinea Pigs, "Squeak, Squeaks" and he will sit and watch them for minutes on end. It is great for me. The squeak squeaks might not enjoy it as much, though!

Rue is a lot bigger now, almost the same size as Truffles.

Rue actually did jump up on Truffles a few times when we first got her. I guess we named her appropriately.
