As we have said many a time, Owen loves animals. He loves to pet them, he loves to watch them, he loves to make thier sounds, etc. Well, my parents dog Chase has become Owen's best friend since moving to VA. I don't know that the best friend label is recipricated for Chase but he is such a sweet dog and at least puts up with Owen very well.
Even when Owen pulls on his ears, as seen in this picture.
Owen loves Chase or "Chasie" as Owen affectionaly refers to him. Owen loves to walk Chase. When we go walk him, he won't let anyone else hold on to the leash except himself. He pushes your hands away if you try to help him to. It is quite a hilarious site. Chase usually ends up walking, or rather running, Owen.
Owen loves to run up and pet Chase, he has gotten much better at this and is learning to be gentle. Although sometimes Owen gets a little frusterated if Chase is getting attention and he isn't. If Chase is in his way he will walk right up and nudge him out of they way. Poor Chase!
Owen likes to tell Chase what to do. If he knows he is doing something he shouldn't he says, "No, Chasie!" or he says "Chase, chase!" in a more harsh voice like we would to repremand him. I can just see where that is going to go with Peanut on the way.
Owen and Chase do enjoy many of the same things as seen in the next picture. This was not staged. We came in to the kitchen and Chase and Owen were watching the rain storm together. I love this picture!
And Owen and Chase both play so hard at Mimi and Pop Pop's that baths are needed. Here they are together taking a bath. :) They were only together for a bit, but it was pretty fun!
We sure are grateful for Chase!
