After Ryan graduated from BYU our apartment contract was ending. We also were in a bind with no income until Ryan started his job in July. Ryan's Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Dave were so kind to let us stay with them for two and a half months before we moved out east.
We lived in Santaquin, Utah. A town just south of Payson. It is a lot less populated than Provo and it has a much more rural feel. We absolutely LOVED it! There was so much space inside and out and that is just what Owen needed, especially after being couped up in our tiny Provo apartment. Owen actually didn't even really start walking until we moved there and I think in part because he had no room to. So, shortly after getting there Owen was not only walking but running everywhere.
They were so nice to us and it was just great! Marilyn and Dave taught us some new games, one of which is Hand and Foot which is now one of Ryan's favorites. They have a great garden and were always giving us fresh produce. We did lots of fun things, but Owen especially loved the outdoors.
I could go on and on about how much we loved it and it was only a 2 month stay. We were so sad to leave and hope we'll get to come and visit again soon.
Marilyn and Dave have a riding lawn mower and whenever they were out mowing Owen would stand right by the window and just watch. Whomever was driving would notice him there and invite him out to help mow the lawn. He loved this. Here are some great pictues of him on the mower.
Owen loved Marilyn's big rimmed hat! You can see him trying to grab it in a few of the pictures.
We sure are so grateful to Marilyn and Dave for all they did for us. I don't know how we would have made it through the summer without them.

That Marilyn and Dave sound like the nicest people ever! :)
