Visiting the Dayton Clan

This summer we took about 3 weeks and went and visited Ryan's family. It was so fun! We went up in the end of May for Ryan's brother, Alan's mission farewell. Then we stayed for another 2 weeks with Ryan's parents and his youngest brother Nathan. We sure were sad to leave as we always are but especially since now that we are in Virginia we are especially far away from them (they live in Washington State).

We did lots of fun things while we were there but the best was just spending time being with family. Owen loved all the attention and Mommy and Daddy loved that Owen constantly had someone other than them to play with. We have posted lots of pictures from our trip below with captions. It was a great trip!

Isn't his apron so cute! We had to fold and tie this just right so that it would be just his size.

Ryan and I had a chance to have a few date nights which was great. We went and watched the sunset one night and it was beautiful.

We had an older man in the car next to us take this picture. We told him he didn't have to get out of his car so that is why the side mirror is in the shot with us.

Mt. Rainer

One of the street signs described this place just perfect!

So, this isn't us. But, Ryan wanted a picture like this but all the logs were taken and there wasn't anyone that wasn't already on a log to take one. We didn't want to interupt anyone's romantic evening out so Ryan took this picture of this random couple and said we could pretend it was us. Haha!

We went on some small hikes one weekend. Owen found the river and immediately fell in love. It amazes me how he doesn't seem to feel the coldness of the water. It was frezzing and he still insisted on trying to plunge right in.

We went to these beautiful waterfalls. The hike to these ended up being closed but the falls sure were pretty. Nathan and Ryan had some fun coming up with funny pictures. Here Nathan is taking a huge drink from the falls.

We sure did have a fun trip and can't wait to see our family again, hopefully soon!
