The Calendar didn't Change for 3 days!

Happy 4th of July! So, we are back to updating our blog again! This summer as you all know the 4th was on Sunday. Since we were in Provo, Utah where the population is primarily LDS all celebrations for the 4th were either on the Saturday before or on the Monday after. This created a very interesting weekend for us.

On Saturday we went to Ryan's Grandparents and had a dinner BBQ and just hung out. They all stayed up for the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire but due to living in Santaquin and Owen and some other factors we skipped out on those that night.

On Sunday we went to Ryan's Aunt Ruth's house for a 4th of July Cookout. It was great and yummy. We played some lawn games, ate great food, and had another fun night with family.

On Monday we went to the Provo 4th of July Parade which is always a blast and so fun with floats, balloons, and the like. And after that we went to Ryan's Grandparents again for another BBQ but at lunch this time.

It was a great weekend and it really felt like the calendar wasn't changing! We had to be very creative by the last day as to what red, white, and blue clothes we could wear!

We love the 4th of July and all the fun celebrations it brings as well as what it signifies for out country. We are so blessed to live here in freedom and we thank our Heavenly Father for that opportunity.

Owen at the parade. We weren't sure how he would do since this activity requires sitting which Owen is not so good at. He actually did quite well, especially when something noisy was passing by.

The night before Ryan's Aunt Ruth and Uncle Rick gave Owen this 4th of July Pin Wheel. He absolutely loved it!

A family picture in our final 4th of July attire!

At Ryan's Grandparents they have this wall bordering their patio. Owen loves the holes in the wall and loves to inspect them and peek through. We put some rocks on the shelves for him to find and he thought this was great fun! We sure do miss them a lot!
