Visiting Oma

After Joey's wedding we were able to stay the weekend up in Rochester and visit with my Mom's side of the family there. It was so nice to visit everyone and to see my Oma. None of them had met Benson yet so that was fun as well. The weather was perfect, so we were able to be outside all day which Owen absolutely loved. We went over to one of the lakes there and walked around and played on the beach. At Uncle Kyle & Aunt Lee's house they had a door bell that Owen could reach, I seriously need one of those. He stood by it and rang it over and over again. It was a good thing it was nice enough for everyone to be outside or that little pass time wouldn't have been as well received. We sure do miss everyone already and hope that we can make the trip up to visit again soon.

Oma with Benson after meeting him for the first time.

Everyone with Oma.

Aunt Lee & Uncle Kyle brought out Mitch's drum for Owen to play with. Wow, was it a hit! I sorta wish we had one, but if we did we'd also need a sound proof room as well.

Owen is giving the drum a kiss;) that is how much he loved it!

Clark taking a rest with Benson:)

Benson was so tired after all of our traveling!

We all got to go on a carousel ride. This was Benson's first carousel ride, coincedentally I believe this might have been the same carousel that Owen had his first ride on as well.

Brienne, Shelly, Ryan & Benson, Jordan, Owen and Clark on the beach. Jordan came and joined us since his train was cancelled.

Here Benson is snoozing again!

And, finally Owen LOVED the water. We weren't really planning on the whole beach thing so we weren't prepared. I don't know why we didn't think that he would get soaking wet, as parents of a very active two year old you'd think we would have contimplated that a bit more:) Luckily, we had a change of clothes in the car!
