Labor Day

Well, to our surprise Ryan was able to stay home for a whole day on Labor Day. This really was a small miracle since from when he started working, they had told him he may have to work that day. And, if he had to work that day then he would get to take a day off whenever he wanted after busy season. Well, it turns out he didn't have enough work to do that day, so he got to stay home with us. We were very excited!

We decided to just take it pretty easy in the morning. However we did pack up and go on a small hike later and then went to a little cookout at my Grandparents. This is where we told the extended family that little Peanut was going to be a boy.

Here are the pictures from our little day as a family.

Well, this may look like a funny picture to have here but it is significant. While getting ready for our hike we put Owen in the backpack and strapped him in. We were getting our other things out of the car so we pulled the legs out and let him sit in the backpack for a minute. This was actually our first time using and I didn't secure the legs right. Owen leaned forward and went head first into the gravel. I felt so bad! He was straped in so he could brace himself at all. Consequently, he had little bruises all over his forehead from where he had hit. We were much more careful after that. And, on the way back to the car Owen tripped in that exact same spot and got some scraps on his legs. The gravel must have had something against him!

Starting out on our trip after Owen's little spill.

Family picture taken by us:)

Can you see Owen in the little hole in the rocks? It is a blurry picture but he's there.

When we got to my Grandparents we decided to take a little dip in the pond before dinner. As you can see Ryan thought it was a bit cold.

I think we have a future heavyweight champion on our hands!

One of my cousins found a frog in the pond. We caught it and showed Owen. It even took a little swim with him.

Look closely can you see the frog jumping away in motion? I'm am such a great photographer!
